Magical gems (Abraxas, Chnoubis)

What it is
Graeco-Egyptian intaglios (1st–4th c. CE) engraved with the cock-headed, snake-legged Anguipede (Abrasax/IAO), the lion-headed serpent Chnoubis for stomach pain, the womb-key, and ring-signs (charaktêres), with Greek vowel strings on the back.
Making yours
1–3 cm oval intaglios in haematite, green jasper, bloodstone or lapis. Wheel-cut, with lettering on the reverse and bevel.
