What it is
Migration-period (c. 450–550) gold pendants stamped on one side, imitating Roman imperial medallions. They show Odin healing a horse, runes such as ALU and LAÞU, and beasts, and were worn as high-status talismans.
Making yours
2–10 cm thin gold foil pressed over a carved die, with a beaded wire rim and a ribbed loop.
