Fascinum & phallic charms

What it is
The Roman fascinum, a divine phallus, “fascinated” and deflected the evil eye by making it laugh or look away. It was worn by children, hung on chariots, and often combined with a mano fico (fig-hand) on the opposite end.
Making yours
2–8 cm cast bronze. Classic triple type: phallus, fig-hand and phallic tail, with a central ring. Bone and silver versions exist.
